My research is about understanding the mental structures of language.
BIO
In 2021, I became a Linguistics Ph.D Candidate at Northwestern University
My dissertation is focused on understanding how linguistic intonation is produced and perceived across emotional contexts that affect the phonetic form in systematic and nonsystematic ways. To understand this problem, I combine methods from cognitive science and statistical modeling. I plan to graduate in 2023.
